Right Time, Right Place - Defining the Future
IDEAL started in large document processing and reproduction in the 1970s by providing services for the duplication of blueprints and engineering drawings. Anticipating the need for gaining electronic control of paper drawings and documents, IDEAL began the formulation, integration, and marketing of drawing archival systems in the mid-1980s. The PC revolution in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) market helped launch the need for large document scanners and electronic document management systems. The exorbitant costs of these systems, however, prohibited many architectural and engineering firms from entering into the digital arena for existing paper documents. IDEAL recognized this problem and was the first to introduce to the marketplace low cost, large document scanners.
